Draft — not reviewed by a lawyer
This is a draft. It was written by the people building this product, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It must be before anything is sold. The decisions still open are listed at the foot of this page.
What this product is
OverNil is a decision-support tool for people who play Fantasy Premier League. It reads the data Fantasy Premier League publishes on its own website, works out what your options appear to be worth, and shows you where each number came from. It is a tool for thinking with. It does not play the game for you and it does not make your decisions.
OverNil is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Premier League, any Premier League club, or Fantasy Premier League. It reads Fantasy Premier League’s public data; it is not part of it, and no one there has approved it.
No guarantee of any sporting result
Nothing here is a promise about your rank, your points or your season. This product measures options and shows its working; football decides the rest.
Stated plainly, and this is a term of the agreement rather than a caveat: this product does not guarantee, and cannot guarantee, any rank, any points total, any league position or any outcome of any kind in Fantasy Premier League or in any other competition. Its projections are estimates built from past data. Estimates are wrong regularly and can be wrong badly. Nobody at this product is a professional adviser of any kind, and nothing it shows you is advice.
If you use this product to decide anything with money attached to it, that decision is yours alone. This is not a betting product, it takes no bets, and it must not be used as a betting service.
Your account
You sign in with your e-mail address and a one-time link. There is no password, which means there is no password for anybody to steal from this product, and there is nothing for you to reuse from somewhere else. Keep access to your e-mail secure: anybody who can read your e-mail can sign in as you.
An account here is not a Fantasy Premier League account, is not connected to one, and can never be used to sign in to one. This product never asks for your Fantasy Premier League password and would have nowhere to put one.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you are responsible for what happens under your account.
The team id you connect
Connecting a team means giving this product a Fantasy Premier League team id — the number in the address of your own points page on the FPL website. That id and the information attached to it are already public: anybody who has the number can read the same profile without signing in anywhere.
You should only connect a team you are entitled to look at. Connecting somebody else’s id does not give you anything private about them, but it is not what this is for.
Subscriptions, billing and cancelling
Part of this product is free and part of it is paid for. What each plan includes is listed on the plans section of the landing page at the moment you buy, and that listing is what you are agreeing to.
Payments are taken by a payment provider, not by this product. Your card details are entered on the provider’s own page and are never sent to, seen by, or stored here. What reaches this product is a message saying whether the payment succeeded.
- A recurring plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it.
- You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next payment; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for, and your access runs to the end of that period.
- If a payment fails it may be retried, and paid access may be suspended until it succeeds.
- Prices can change. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and you will be told before it applies to the next one.
- Where the law gives you a right to cancel a distance contract and get your money back — fourteen days in the United Kingdom and the European Union — you have it. Because access starts immediately, you may be charged for the part you used before cancelling. Asking for access to start immediately is what triggers that.
Outside a statutory right to cancel, a period that has already started is not normally refunded. If something has gone wrong, say so before assuming that — "How to reach a person" below is where that goes.
What you may and may not do with it
You may use this product for your own Fantasy Premier League teams, including teams you run in leagues with other people, and you may talk about what it told you.
- Do not share your account. One account is for one person.
- Do not scrape, bulk-download or automate access to what this product works out, or resell it, or present it as your own product.
- Do not try to reach paid features without paying for them, or interfere with the checks that decide what your account can do.
- Do not put load on this product that would degrade it for other people, and do not use it as a way of putting load on Fantasy Premier League.
An account that breaks these rules can be suspended or closed. If that happens to a paid account without good reason, the unused part of what was paid is returned.
Availability, and the fact that this depends on somebody else
This product is built on data published by Fantasy Premier League through an interface they do not document and have made no promises about. They can change it, restrict it or remove it at any time, without telling anybody. If they do, parts of this product will stop working, and nothing here can prevent it. That risk is stated here because it is real, not because it is expected.
There is no promise that the product is available at any particular time, and it will sometimes be taken down in order to be changed. If a paid feature is unavailable for long enough that what was paid for was not delivered, say so — "How to reach a person" below is where that goes — and it will be put right.
Who owns what
The design, the words and the workings of this product belong to the business that runs it. The Fantasy Premier League data it reads is not, and the names and marks of the Premier League, its clubs and its competitions belong to their owners. This product deliberately uses no club crests, no kits and no photographs of players: club identity is drawn from typography and colour instead.
What you create in the product — your drafts, your plans, your journal — stays yours. This product is given only what it needs in order to store that work and show it back to you.
Limits on responsibility
This product is provided as it is. To the extent the law where you live allows it, this product is not responsible for losses that follow from decisions you made using it, including lost rank, lost prizes, lost money or lost time, and total liability to you is limited to what you paid for this product in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in this document.
Changes to these terms
These terms can change. When a change matters to you — anything about price, about what a plan includes, or about your rights — you will be told before it takes effect, and you will be able to cancel if you do not accept it. The date at the top of this page is the date it was last edited.
How to reach a person
Questions, complaints and legal notices all go to the same place.
Write to Murkelvägen 4 Mjölby 59553. A person reads it; there is no ticket queue and no form to fill in.
Everything on this page that names this address is answered from it, and nothing on this page sends you anywhere else. If the paragraph above says no address is published yet, that is the true state of it rather than a page you have failed to find.
Before this can be published
What a lawyer and the owner still have to decide
Written down rather than guessed at. Every item here is a place where inventing an answer would have made this document read as finished while being wrong.
- The legal name, registered address and company number of the business selling this, which must appear in these terms and on every invoice.
- Which country’s law governs these terms and which courts decide a dispute. That choice interacts with consumer law and cannot be picked for convenience.
- Whether the buyer is treated as a consumer, and what the statutory right to cancel is in each country you sell into. The fourteen-day right described below is written for the European and United Kingdom position and needs checking against everywhere else.
- Whether the limitation of liability below is enforceable in each of those countries. In several it is not, as written.
- Whether anything in these terms conflicts with Fantasy Premier League’s own terms for its website and data, which are not published as an API agreement.
- The address complaints and legal notices should be sent to, which has to be published here before anything is sold. Until one is, "How to reach a person" below says there is no address rather than implying one exists somewhere on this site.
